EnterpriseWeb (www.enterpriseweb.com), a provider of agile systems for dynamic environments, has been selected by the TM Forum judging panel as an Official Nominee in the Industry Contribution category for the TM Forum Excellence Awards 2014.
As the pace of change accelerates and innovation cycles get shorter, companies need software that responds and adapts. EnterpriseWeb is a platform for building smart, data-driven, policy-controlled business solutions. It lets customers design, run, and manage apps that optimize every interaction in real time based on its context.
TM Forum is a global trade association trusted by the world’s largest enterprises, service providers and suppliers to help them continuously transform to succeed in the digital economy. The Forum helps its members reduce costs and risks, improve business agility and grow their business through a wealth of knowledge, tools, standards, training and practical advice.
EnterpriseWeb provides the enabling platform for CloudNFV, a consortium of companies led by Dell, who is a pioneer in Network Function Virtualization. CloudNFV has a Proof-of-Concept with the ETSI NFV ISG as well as a TM Forum Catalyst project.
As a member of TM Forum and a participant in the CloudNFV Catalyst slated for TM Forum Live! in Nice, France, EnterpriseWeb is helping to bridge management and operations to support telecom business agility and transformation goals.
EnterpriseWeb is leveraging TM Forum domain assets (e.g. GB922 SID, GB942 Contracts, etc.) to support more dynamic, event-driven operator processes that optimize deployments based on management SLAs in real time. In this way, EnterpriseWeb extends visibility of network resources and policy control over network functions to the business, while operations groups take responsibility for maintaining the functions and the network itself.
In addition, EnterpriseWeb’s approach assumes change. For NFV to scale operationally, it will have to be resilient to changes in Virtual Network Functions, changes in the volatile network environment and changes of management policies. Conventional approaches based on static APIs will be very brittle as changes to interfaces will break contracts with critical business processes. All of these components must be allowed to evolve organically to ensure business services are adaptable and sustainable. EnterpriseWeb addresses this challenge by treating every request as a constraint satisfaction problem that it is able to compute efficiently to optimize service lifecycles.
