EnterpriseWeb nominated for the “San Andreas Award” for Most Disruptive Technology by the Telecom Council of Silicon Valley
GLENS FALLS, NY, August 10, 2015 – EnterpriseWeb (www.enterpriseweb.com), the provider of an application platform for real-time, data-driven business solutions announced today that they were nominated by the Silicon Valley Telecom Council for a 2015 SPIFFY Award 2015, specifically the “San Andreas” award for Most Disruptive Technology (http://telecomcouncil.com/spiffys).
The SPIFFY Awards is an annual ceremony that recognizes the best telecom startups of the past year. Since TC3 2014, the Service Provider Forum (SPIF) and the wider Telecom Council will have reviewed over 200 young telecom companies. By simply being nominated for a SPIFFY, startups are recognized as the most elite in the industry with ideas, relevance, and traction that appeal most to global service providers. Award categories include innovation, creativity, emergent entrepreneurship and competitive excellence. Winners will be announced during TC3 on the evening of Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, Calif.
The San Andreas Award for Most Disruptive Technology is given to the most game-changing startup who presents to the Telecom Council. It is offered to the company whose progress is most likely to disrupt markets and change the way people do things.
EnterpriseWeb is a pioneer in Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and Software Defined Networking (SDN); two related movements that aim to enable Service Providers to flexibly leverage virtual and physical resources in order to improve customer experiences, accelerate innovation cycles, and reduce operational costs.
EnterpriseWeb led the first ETSI NFV proof-of-concept, “CloudNFV”. Subsequently, the company has led two award-winning TM Forum Catalysts projects demonstrating advanced NFV use-cases with standards-based interfaces supporting open vendor eco-systems.
EnterpriseWeb supports “intent-based” networking, an enabling capability for realizing the agility benefits of NFV and SDN. In business terms, to be agile is to flexibly respond to changing situations and optimize behavior for customer and organizational goals. Physically wiring or hard-coding all details in advance limits flexibility, tightly coupling a business requirement to a specific technical implementation, which is difficult to optimize or change. With EnterpriseWeb, the business can declaratively model its “intents” (i.e. “what” it wants), with a set of policies that define a Service Level Agreement (SLAs) for a service, without defining implementation details (i.e. “how” it is to be delivered). This separation-of-concerns supports rapid prototyping as the service represent a logical model, a recipe, abstracted from lower-level software and hardware complexity. EnterpriseWeb applies NFV and SDN principles to orchestrate the lifecycle of the service, dynamically coordinating virtual and physical resources to maintain the SLAs.
“The 2015 SPIFFY Awards mark the most competitive group of entrants to date,” said Liz Kerton, President of the Telecom Council of Silicon Valley. “SPIFFY nominees are chosen for their innovative solutions, approach to the market, and strong leadership. Winners are in an elite group that will secure attention from global service providers for years to come.”
“We’re honored to receive the SPIFFY nomination; it reflects the interest in Carrier transformation and support of our work,” noted Dave Duggal, founder and Managing Director of EnterpriseWeb. “The nomination spurs on our work – we look forward presenting our latest advances at TC3.”

About EnterpriseWeb
EnterpriseWeb is a platform for real-time, data-driven processes. The platform virtualizes distributed IP-based services (i.e. Cloud, Internet-of-Things, Network Services, etc.) for dynamic software-defined business solutions.
CloudNFV is a vertical solution for the Telecom industry. It provides a “Network in a Box”, an integrated Management and Orchestration (MANO) platform that can be rapidly deployed at the core or edge to accelerate Carrier Virtualization initiatives. It provides a unified architecture and common tools, libraries and services that cut time-to-market with SDN and NFV-based network services, while lowering associated costs and risks of transformation. The Platform enables Carriers to stay focused on customers, products and billing rather than technology.
EnterpriseWeb is a NY-based company with customers and partners on four continents. The company works closely with independent software vendors, system integrators, and domain partners to develop differentiated offerings.
