Dave Duggal, founder and CEO of EnterpriseWeb, gave a talk today at Layer 123’s first Zero-touch and Carrier Automation Congress. Automation is a hot topic and the timely event attracted industry thought leaders from both Network Operators and Vendors.
EntepriseWeb is a member of ETSI’s related Zero-touch Service Management (ZSM) Industry Specification Group (ISG). The company previously ran ETSI NFV’s first proof-of-concept, “CloudNFV” and is a pioneer in advanced model-driven, policy-controlled solutions.
The title of Dave’s talk was “From Vertical Silos to Horizontal Abstractions: Enabling Extreme Automation”. The session examined why initial NFV implementations of incumbent vendor solutions and open-source technologies, fell short, and presented architectural principles important to enabling industry transformation.
